If you are interested in being an HCASC Appointed Officer for the 2009-2010 school year, please read the following information:
As you all may know, HCASC is a large county organization that requires a lot of teamwork and commitment from every individual. In order to make sure that problems are taken care of, and progress is made in every aspect of our schools and communities, HCASC has various appointed positions which students can apply for based on their interests and strengths.
- You Cell Phone and Home Phone Number
- Your Grade and School for the next school year (2009-2010)
- Your Top Three Appointed Position choices
Also, please attach your resume to your email. Once we have all the necessary information, we will inform you of your interview date and time. The current date for interviews (as of now) is on June 8th, 2009, anywhere from 3-6 pm. Interviews will only be around 15 minutes each. If this does not work for you, please include this in your email (or if you have any time preferences, include that as well).

The Student Member of the Board of Education of Howard County for the 2009-2010 school year will be Josh Manley. Congratulations to Josh!
Josh, from Howard High School, defeated Hamza Siddiqui of Wilde Lake High School and Amir Zariwala from Glenelg High School. Josh's responsibilities will begin on July 1st, the same day that incumbent Jire Bademosi steps down.

The application for elected officers for both HCASC and MASC (Maryland Association of Student Councils) for the 2009-2010 school year have been posted. We all look forward to seeing the new leadership that will arise in HCASC, Howard County, and Maryland.
